Please pray
Please pray for Heather and for Kelli. These are two very sweet ladies that have wonderful blogs who are in need of alot of prayers right now. It seems like I keep hearing of people who have so much going on in their lives right now and I don't know how they remain so full of faith at times like these. Their faith reminds me what an awesome God we serve.

Ahhh -- Spring???
Yes we just got back from a fabulous spring break. We took the kids to Disney World and they had a blast. Little man turned 5 and got to eat at Cinderella's castle for his birthday. More on that later. When we left it was in the 80's. Apparently, while we were gone, Spring decided to play a funny trick on us and let Old Man Winter have another shot at us because now it's down right cold... brrrrr.... My mom has been coming over getting the mail, checking on the house etc. She called me yesterday to let me know that our entire lawn was frozen and that icicles were hanging off our trees. The sprinkler system had gone off and promptly turned our yard into a winter wonderland. This is April... in Georgia. It's not supposed to be cold.
While I was gone I got a great email saying I had actually won a CD over at Boomama's. If I weren't so exhausted (we literally just got home), I'd be jumping up and down. But believe me ya'll, I'm just tickled pink!!!!! I never win anything! If you don't know Boomama, you need to get on over to her blog. She's probably got the best blog in all of bloggityville. I've got a link straight to her place over in my side bar. If I was more savvy with this blog thing I'd put a link right here. To imagine I'm married to a computer geek and can't even link right.
Well, I think I'll go soak in the bath tub and read a book. That's the thing about hotels -- I'm a little germaphobic about sitting in the bath tub. I'll tell ya'll all about our trip later. I'll even try to get some photos on here.

Yes, I'm still alive
Well, I had all good intentions when I started this blog of posting regular. Because after all, I was staying home. Then God found me a job. I certainly didn't find it, because I wasn't looking. I've been training for the last couple of months and trying to keep up with all the kid's stuff. The only really bad part of the job is --- no internet access. Can you believe it???? But I knew the job was for me when the assistant director and the shift supervisor both told me to pray about taking the job.
So, the blog fell by the wayside. Now I'm on my regular schedule. I work a week and then am off a week. So, hopefully, I can start posting again --- at least on my week off.

I Need My Space
My husband recently started working from home. Now don't get me wrong. I love all the extra time I get to see him. Even if he is locked in the office all day, since he doesn't have the hour long commute, we actually get to eat dinner together. That being said, he is in. my. space! It is seriously cutting into my computer time. See, he writes computer software for a living so he sort of has to use the computer.... I shouldn't complain, but what about my new blog and all those wonderful blogs I like to read. He does have a laptop, and we have 2 computers in the office, but apparently he needs all three. Who knew that a computer geek would need to hog all the computers in the house???? Oh well, I haven't gotten to blog lately. But I have been busy looking for a job. For those of you who don't know (and that's pretty much all 2 of you), I lost my job just before Christmas. I've never actually had to look for a job before in my life. I'm not good at trying to sell myself to prospective employers. Jobs have always sort of come and found me .... not the other way around. Anyway, there have been many tears of frustration this week as I pound the pavement, but I know that God has the perfect job out there for me. I just have to learn a little patience (something I have about zippo of).

Rain, Rain Go Away
Well, I'm already off to a slow start in this blog, but I never promised this would be an every day thing. I kept waiting for something exciting, funny, or just interesting to happen yesterday so I would have something spectacular to blog about..... Well nothing spectacular happened. It just rained all day and I had to keep Monkey Man (my 9 year old) and Little Man (my 4 year old) from killing each other. They've been out of school for 2 weeks now, it's raining and the new toys are already "boring". What's a mom to do?
Now thanks to reading lots of blogs about getting organized I'm off to Target to get some supplies and then I'm tackling the toys. Wish me luck!

Welcoming me to the 21st century
Well it seems that I've been a "lurker" at a lot of blogs and have been wondering for some time if I should perhaps start one. In fact, while out today running a few errands I was pondering and praying over the idea of my own blog (and how in the world I would go about starting such), when lo and behold I come home to realize that Shannon over at Rocks in My Dryer http://rocksinmydryer.tyepad.com/shannon/ is starting a new blog on blogging basics. Woo hoo!!! Is that an answer to prayer or what. So since everyone else has a blog (and despite the fact that my momma always warned me about joining a crowd "If everyone else jumped off the bridge, would you?") I think I'll try this blog thing out. May only get a few friends to read (or maybe nobody), but at least I can say I tried. I'm looking forward to coming out of the "lurking" stage and into the actual blogging stage. You should really check out the Blogging Basics 101 page http://bloggingbasics101.com/ .
Looking forward to getting to know some fellow bloggers!
